Dish ends

Ets CHAUDRAF produces all type of dish ends (GRC, MRC, PRC ) with a diameter reaching 3,5 m and a thickness of 10mm in steel and 6mm in stainless steel.

A) Metal spinning

Metal spinning, also known as spin forming or spinning or metal turning most commonly, is a metalworking process by which a disc or tube of metal is rotated at high speed and formed into an axially symmetric part.

1- Manufacturing GRC dish ends under the NF E 81-102 standard

The dish end « grand rayon de carre » called GRC stands for a crown radius equal to external head diameter and a knuckle radius equal to 10% of the same diameter.GRC heads are mainly suitable for pressure use .

2- Manufacturing MRC dish ends under the NF E 81-104 standard

The dish end « moyen rayon de carre » called MRC stands for a crown radius equal to external head diameter and a knuckle radius between 1/30 and 1/15 of the external head diameter. MRC heads are mainly suitable for storing oil products.

3- Manufacturing MRC dish ends under the NF E 81-101 standard

The dish end « petit rayon de carre » called PRC stands for a crown radius superior or equal to external head diameter and a knuckle radius between 30 and 50 mm . PRC heads are mainly suitable for low pressure use .

B) Metal stamping :

A press of 250T to produce pieces of small dimensions (maxi 1000mm).
